Ms. Saitta's kindergarten cuties had a fantastic time guessing who was coming to visit them in class today. The children were given four clues throughout the day and each child predicted it was their mom. What a blast!
At 12:45, Mrs. Joy mysteriously entered the classroom to see the children anxiously awaiting on the carpet for her arrival. She and Collin read her favorite story, "If You Give a Pig a Pancake" and shared munchkins with the class. What a sweet treat it was!! Stay tuned for our next visitor....

Please comment and let us know!

Middle School Happenings - my first post. - Mrs. LaSorsa
We have discovered and started following the International Space Station. What a great time we had listening to communication between the space station and NASA. We have watched sunrise and sunsets from space. We had a great discussion on traits astronauts need; patience self control, kindness. We discussed how it is the INTERNATIONAL space station and the cooperation it takes. More to come in the future - kids work!!

Third Grade Uses Their Imagination!
The Awesome
Third Grade
Lego Story
Created by
Mrs. Mullally’s Third Grade Class
2014-2015
Once upon a time, there was a little boy, Adam, and his
family. They were going to the playground for the day. They were waiting at the
bus stop for the bus to take them to the playground.
The bus pulled up. The bus flies instead of driving. On this
magical flying bus there is fire coming out of the engine. It also has extra
seating on the top white part, which is where the driver also sits. Adam and
his family sit in the green cockpit. Since it flies, it will be a short ride.
Once they got to the playground they went to the green slide. While they were playing, Adam and his family
saw an airplane! Adam said, “Dad, that is a colorful plane!” The plane went
near the playground. Adam and his family tripped on a rock, bounced off of a
trampoline and they wound up on the airplane!
Adam and his family meet Albert and
May. Albert and May are now their friends. They are now going to take them to
Florida for a week on a fun and slightly weird vacation. Adam and his family
got off the plane after their long trip. They are going to spend their vacation
with Adam’s Uncle Awesomeness.
While on vacation the family along
with Uncle Awesomeness visits a Professional Skate Park. Adam and his family
all buy skateboards to go up the ramp. Adam did a kickflip with his new board.
Uncle Awesomeness did a 360 flip! After they were doing their tricks for a
little bit, they actually banged into Albert and May at the Skate Park. They
all did brilliant tricks that they all enjoyed!
The next day, Uncle Awesomeness
rented a Star Ship! Adam got to ride it! Adam was really nervous and scared.
Then he started driving it and flew right into clouds! He got really scared and
bumped into the laser lever! It activated the laser cannon. The laser hit Albert
and May’s plane. Adam came back down and saw all the damage.
The cops came to make sure everyone was okay. Then they went
to get a rental car. They all decided to stay together and go to the beach.
This car drives on the beach. It has an umbrella that pops out of the top. This
car also has a sun roof that lets in a breeze. They had so much fun, that they
camped on the beach!
On the beach
they all see this unicycle for sale. They all like it so they buy it. They put
it in the car. They drive home after packing up all their camping stuff. They
all go to Uncle Awesomeness’ house. They all want to go on the unicycle at
once. They were all trying to get on the unicycle at once. But they couldn’t
figure it out. So, Uncle Awesomeness and Adam get on. Then they notice it was
the wheel that was not on straight because it goes out to the side. So Uncle
Awesomeness took the wheel off, moved a latch, and he put the wheel on
straight! Next, they all rode it around and had a blast!
They all had an awesome week, but they had to figure out how
to get home! When all of a sudden this machine pulled up right in front of
them! It had a cockpit, and a unicycle wheel, skate ramp, a slide, an umbrella,
wings and extra bus stop seating! It was magical. We all got on and had the
best ride home. The best part was that Adam got to be the driver!
The awesome, magical, flying machine brought us all the way
home, to our bus stop!
The End.

Welcome to our School Blog
Welcome to the Fish Tales blog of the Emanuel Lutheran School. The purpose of this blog is to highlight the wonderful things our students are doing. This is a place where you will find samples of student work, pictures of class projects, and the effects of following the Fruits of the Spirit in our daily lives. You will not find schedules, notices, or other housekeeping information. This is a place of celebration. Feel free to share this link with friends, family, and anyone who might be interested in the great work that is going on here at Emanuel Lutheran. If you have ever had the opportunity to walk down our halls or attend one of our events, you are aware of how we love to highlight the work of you students. Think of this blog as an extension of that. A kind of global bulletin board that will allow the world a small peek into our school and the ability to celebrate with us. There will always be a place to leave a comment, and we encourage you to do so. Subscribe to the blog so that you never miss a post. Come back often and remember to spread the word!
